After arriving safely at Kingswood and meeting our Katie our Group Leader for the week we enjoyed an afternoon of indoor climbing, settling into our rooms and a tour of the huge site. After a hearty tea we spent the evening having our own Mini Olympics and playing some very silly races. That wore us all out and we were very quickly asleep after lights out.
We had a fantastic day.The morning was spent fire lighting, solving problems in a team and getting a little wet and muddy on the nightline!
The afternoon saw us all tackling the Leap of Faith with a little more problem solving and pond dipping.
We rounded off the evening telling jokes, singing songs and eating toasted marshmallows round the campfire.
Our third day dawned bright and sunny and we enjoyed a morning of building shelters and fire lighting followed by a group Drum Jam. After another huge lunch we all successfully tackled the abseil tower before trying our hands at a range of circus skills. Congratulations to Mrs Dawson for her perseverance with the spinning plates!
The evening was spent constructing protective structures for water balloons in the scrapheap challenge before we all fell into bed after another exhausting day.
